A few confusing behaviors after configuring the settings

  • Just installed and activated the plugin and configured the settings at backend, then noticed a couple behaviors that confused me. Checked all the settings still couldn’t figure out why so here I am.

    1.When doing a keyword search, I’ll see a screen popping up right under the search box and i see 10 items listed with featured images. And if I clicked on “More Results”, the pop up disappears and i’ll see the result list on the screen, but without featured images. Is it normal to see no featured images there? How can I make the featured images appear on the list?

    2. I’m still building my site on my pc so I went to Appearance / Customize and try out the search box on tablet and mobile views and found the “More Results” button is not clickable (on Chrome).

    So i experimentally reboot my pc and after that “More Results” was still not clickable on tablet and mobile views on chrome. And on top of that, when on pc screen, after clicking “more Results”, it showed “Nothing Found” when there was supposed to be a list of items appearing. This “nothing found” behavior also occurred on Edge but not on Firefox. So only on Firefox behaves normally.

    So at this point, i’m just lost.

    Hi,

    1. That section is unfortunately controlled by the the you are using. Some themes do display the result images, some doesn’t. Unfortunately the plugin cannot affect that, it only redirects with the results to the results page.

    2. That could be some sort of a stylesheet conflict. If this only happens on the customizer, that may not be an issue on an actual device, as the customizer layout could be a tiny bit different from the actual output. If you want, I can take a look at this via a mobile device, just le me know the URL.
