What changed in 3.0? Problems updating

    Hello, thank you for this plugin. It has been working for me perfectly for months and it’s exactly what I needed. I am currently using version 2.3.0 as every time I try to update to 3.0.1 my blogs break. Nothing works on my websites and I get a WordPress error message so I always have to install back an old copy of the plugin.

    I would still like to continue updating the plugin on my sites, so the question is. What changed on the plugin from version 2.3.0 to 3.0.1 that I probably don’t have on my server installed and makes it crash?

    Just adding, everything else is 100% updated. WordPress installed is 5.2.1.

    A lot of things changed in 3.0 with how the buttons are output, and a lot of behind the scenes reorganization happened. You can see the changelog here.

    Without knowing what specific errors you are getting, I can only guess as to what is happening for you. It could be a plugin conflict, or something in your theme, or cache related–a lot of possibilities. I’ve seen reports of two different kinds of issues–one was for users running WordPress 4.x and that bug was fixed with version 3.0.1 of the plugin. The other, which may be more likely, appears to have been cache related, with a plugin settings help file being moved. Both users who encountered that reported that it resolved itself quickly.

    If you can report a specific error (likely in your server’s PHP error logs), I would be happy to help you try to track down the issue.

    Hello Robin,

    sorry for not being able to give more information. It’s just all website stops working (admin panel and blog) with a generic WordPress error saying something like “This blog is having issues at the moment” (might be different as I translated it).

    I will activate it again and check my logs, but version 2.3.0 works perfectly, thats why I was asking if something was rewritten or something. I will check version log also you gave.

    Solved, no idea what was the problem but probably an incompatbility with another plugin.
