All the widgets I put into the widgets areas yesterday still have it. But the ones I try and add today do not. It’s very strange. Also it still works fine on the Editor in the Page Builder sections. It’s only affecting the Widget area.

    Hi, thanks for posting.

Please, try checking for a working baseline by temporarily deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins. If you’re using the Classic Editor plugin, you can leave that activated in the test. Let us know how that goes ??

I can’t turn off all plugins as these are live sites. But I HAVE found a clue. If you put in a title and hit save, only then does the media button appear. This is a problem as we don’t always want a title showing in the widget. And this widget doesn’t have a ‘hide title’ option.

Thanks for the update. We, unfortunately, don’t have any further idea about what might be causing this issue. Our recommendation would be to use a maintenance mode plugin, activate it. Then run the plugin conflict test to search for a working baseline. This is the quickest way to rule out a plugin conflict and see if a working baseline can be found.

The only way I could get the Add Media button to return was to replace the SiteOrigin Editor widget with a regular WP text widget.
