What can the free version do ? Seems like it can do nothing or am I wrong ?

The free version can do almost everything like the pro version.

Just you have to use this plugin shortcodes to show the accordion on your site. You can use the text widget to add our shortcode on your sidebar area.

And the pro version has few more skins for showing the accordion in a different style.
