    Hi, how are you doing?
I have a question regarding the upcoming events section on the website.
This is a site for a client of mine and i tried to clone this section at blog.eloemma.nl but for some reason i can not get it right. As you can see i tried 2 different ways but both are not the same as on the homepage. Also the images are super big, how can i make it smaller? And how can i add another column with a small image in the column. He uses your plugin events manager. I copied all the code from settings but still it doesn’t show up as the main website.
    Any help appreciated

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

I tried visiting the 2 links you sent but I get a warning from McAfee: https://prnt.sc/o1zus9

From what I understand on your issue, The contents are displaying properly but the styling doesn’t look good? You would need to adjust these styling using CSS. I would like to give some few codes to start on but currently, I can’t visit the site due to the error with McAfee.

Yes, i had a theme which was not updated that s why you get the error from mcafee. All is cleaned up now..So there is no risk to check. It looks like this and is a slider.

    Here is a screenshot:

    Hello,

It seems like you’re using elementor on the other site and the main site is not. The main site also uses a Slider to display the events. If you want to have the same styling you would need to Install also a slider.

As for why the images are showing big, You would need to make some css adjustments on it. Elementor should have those options. Checking your display also and it seems like you might have missed some closing of HTML tags? If you’re not familiar with HTML/CSS it would be best to hire a Developer for it.

With the current set-up for html output on https://blog.eloemma.nl/ I can’t give any css tips as the layout from your elementor is not the same with the main site.

The upcoming event part is just a shortcode i placed in elementor…
But my question is how can i replicate the same “upcoming events”section with elementor.
Yes, using a slider. I know how to set that up, but how to get the upcoming event data which is displayed on the homepage into the slider. And making it exactly the same.
    thank you

Please edit your previous message. It is messing up the Forum layout!

The Elementor slider will not work for EM. A “normal” slider needs all slides to be defined within it. The EM Upcoming Events shortcode is an argumented loop. So you would have to define every upcoming event in your slider mark-up separately and manually. Undoable.

That is why I have written a plugin especially for EM Events and Locations:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/stonehenge-em-slider/

In the settings you need to define the layout per slide (just like [events_list]) using the same EM arguments.

Hello, I’m searching for something similar but I don’t know if your plugin could solve my problem:
I’ve slides images in homepage that will be always the same, the images are not related to the event,
but I would like to show over the images a text that makes a countdown to the next event with a subscribe button.
I could manage to make some code update because of good knowledge of php, but I’ve no knowledge of wordpress structure and plugins.
    Thank you for any suggestion
