Conflicting with a few things

I have installed this plugin because my client asked for some “different” page transitions. It is conflicting with a couple of things, though.
On their site, there is a “Donate” button that opens a modal window with a donation form. When selecting payment option, this triggers the page transition and brings up a 404 page. This is confusing to me because this isn’t a page transition, it is just selecting an option to show different content within the modal window.
Also, on their team page, a few members have email icons that open an email client to contact them. When the icon is clicked, the email client does open, as expected, but the site front end also tries to transition and gets stuck in what the client is now calling “the gray screen of death”. Once that screen is up, you can’t navigate anywhere else. I have to manipulate the URL string to get away from the gray screen.
Can you please help? I love this plugin, but with these conflicts – if they can’t be resolved, I may have to try to figure out something else.
