    hello,
I’d to try this fantastic plugin for home page slide in 3 languages: we have a WPML plugin. I didn’t find a suggestion within the Smart Slider 3 plugin and I hope someone can suggest a solution without images duplication.

At the moment I can image only the duplication of the slide group, change the text for each images per 3 languages and to use 3 Smart Slider 3 code for each home page language.

But, the home page can become slower with this triplication… or not?
Can we use WPML with Smart Sliders 3 in this case?
    Thank you a lot,
    zesco

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @zesco!

If you are using WPML plugin, then you should simply duplicate your slider, translate the texts and publish the slider with the corresponding language to the associated pages/posts.

WPML will handle the content of your site, and it should load only the content in the actual language. So if you have 3 sliders in different languages, WPML should handle it, and it won’t load the 3 sliders in the same time, so your page won’t be slower.

    Hi Bernadett,
thank you a lot for your support.
Consider you indication on WPML, if the Smart Sliders 3 code of Italian home page is [smartslider3 slider=2], the same code will be also for English and Spanish home page?

I read: “To set up a post generator with WordPress Multilingual Plugin, you need to create your post slider, while you are logging in your backend in the language on which you want your slider to be.”

From wordpress dashboard backend in Italian, I created sliders for Italian home page: the code pasted on home page is [smartslider3 slider=2] and work fine. Can you suggest how define text translation of the “level” text of the same [smartslider3 slider=2]?

In WPML and Smart Sliders 3 plugin I didn’t find a way or workaround,
below a link to show the problem, thank you again,

    Hi @zesco,

You should duplicate your original slider, and change its text. In this case that slider will be a new one, so it will have another shortcode, what you can use. So you should create 3 sliders for the 3 languages, and every slider will have its unique shortcode.

“To set up a post generator with WordPress Multilingual Plugin, you need to create your post slider, while you are logging in your backend in the language on which you want your slider to be.”

This is useful if you create a dynamically changing post slider from your post:

So if you have a static slider, you don’t need to login again.

    Hi @zesco

You need to create a separate slider for every language where you want to display one.

So if your #2 slider ([smartslider3 slider=2]) is the Italian one, you need to create a new slider for the other language(s). E.g. if your site’s other languages are English and Spanish, then for instance, create slider #3 ([smartslider3 slider=3]) which will have the English text. And create slider #4 ([smartslider3 slider=4]) to have the Spanish text.
