Wildcard Redirection
-
Hi
We previously had around 2 thousand pages on our old site with the .html file identifier as follows.
mysite.com/destination/spain/hotel1.html
mysite.com/destination/spain/hotel2.html
mysite.com/destination/greece/hotel1.html
mysite.com/destination/greece/hotel2.html
…
When the site was updated the developer changed the urls, replacing the .html with a trailing slash as follows:
mysite.com/destination/spain/hotel1/
mysite.com/destination/spain/hotel2/
mysite.com/destination/greece/hotel1/
mysite.com/destination/greece/hotel2/
…
But external links still point to the .html version of the url and cause a 404 error.
I don’t want to create 2 thousand individual redirects, is there a wildcard formula that I could use?
Thanks
