How to add group instead of tag to new subscribers?

Hi,

I would like to add a certain group to people within the audience new subscribers sign up for. I don’t see how, though. I only see the option to add tags, but that’s not what I’m looking for. How can I associate certain groups with subscribers signing up through this plugin’s form?
