• This morning, after NOT making any changes to my site, it suddenly started loading blank.

At first it was everything but the homepage — including all subpages of the site and all of the /wp-admin section. Now it includes the homepage too. The afflicted site is https://blogswithballs.com

At the same time I’ve been experiencing similar problems with another WordPress install — https://kylebunch.com — but on this one, the front-end is loading fine; it’s just all of the /wp-admin section that loads blank.

All my other WordPress installs are uneffected. The common trait between the two effected sites would seem to be WP Super Cache.

However, after taking the following steps, the problems persist:

    1.) Removing the /wp-super-cache folder from /plugins
2.) Deactivating all plugins using PHPMyAdmin
3.) Removing all WP Super Cache rules from .htaccess

Any help that you can provide will be hugely appreciated. I’ve backed up my database and theme files and can do a complete re-install; but I’d like to avoid that if at all possible.

UPDATE: After looking closer, it turns out the site is running 2.7, not 2.8.

I would upgrade to fix — but worried that could make the problem worse. Let me know if you think that’s the best course of action.

Sorry I can’t help you but thanks for posting this as it prompted me to look into the wp-cache thing.

My blank site was also was caused by wp-cache. I just deleted it from the plugins and it came back to life! WHEW!! Panic over! I couldn’t even log in, but it’s all fine now.
