Author slug redirects to User slug in URL

I’m curious about this situation too.
I modified the wordpress author.php and I want to see that page when i go to /author/username instead of Ultimate Member account page. Please give us a solution, I uninstalled the plugin just because of this.

You can disable this in Ultimate member – Settings -> General -> Users and uncheck “Automatically redirect author page to their profile?”.

I tried what you suggest, and if this option is disabled, user sees “author” URL (https://elefantezen.com/autor/elena-martinez-blasco/), but with wrong page – not the one of your plugin, just simple wordpress default profile page.

However, if this option is enabled, user sees “user” in URL (https://elefantezen.com/autor/elena-martinez-blasco/) and UM profile page, as you can see here: https://elefantezen.com/user/elena-martinez-blasco/

What I’d like is having AUTOR in URL -not user- (https://elefantezen.com/autor/elena-martinez-blasco/), with the content of UM profile page – not wordpress default.

You can achieve this by renaming your User page URL to /author.

I already did this with edit author slug plugin.

And the behaviour is the one described in my last comment. I’d appreciate if you could please be a bit more specific on what I should do to make it work properly. Otherwise I’ll might need to change to another plugin.
