I’ve been running GP on this site for about 2 1/2 years. All of a sudden, the mobile menu isn’t functioning anymore. The code isn’t even showing up beyond the button. So I get a button, but no menu.

I’ve already switched from my child theme to the main GP, turned off all plugins except for Elementor (can’t imagine that would be the cause) and still no change. Did something change that I don’t know about?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

    It’s generally a plugin conflict.

Any chance you can turn off all plugins then clear and disable WP Fastest Cache for us to have a look?

Might be good to set up a staging site and duplicate the environment if this is a live site with traffic.

    Let me know ??

As I mentioned, I’ve already turned off all the plugins including WP Fastest Cache, to no effect. So it’s not a plugin conflict.

Sorry I did see the note but it’s really not possible for us to identify the issue without seeing the site in that environment.

We haven’t had other reports on this issue either which is why I’m guessing it’s something specific to your site/install.

As I mentioned, might be good to set up a staging site and duplicate the environment if this is a live site with traffic.

    Let me know ??

Would it be possible to email you in private an account login so you can turn off the plugins yourself instead of me turning them off and then just waiting for you to see it?

    Staging isn’t an option.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately, it’s against our policy to make any changes inside the Dashboards of our users – too many things can go wrong.

Looks like the javascript for the button isn’t working. Are you able to turn off the caching plugin for now while we debug the site? You can keep your other plugins activated.

    Let me know ??

Yes, I just shut WP Fastest Cache off.

Hmm, so it’s not adding the toggled class to the main navigation when you click the toggle, which it should be.

There must be something conflicting, or else we would have a ton of users reporting this. You mentioned a staging site isn’t an option – can I ask why? It would help a lot to see the site without any other plugins active without affecting your main site.

    Let me know ??

It’s really because the client doesn’t want to spend the money (on me) to create a staging site and she’d actually rather turn off all the plugins on the site so you guys can have a look. She would prefer, if possible, that it could be done in the evening hours and we’re in Los Angeles, so it would be US Pacific Time. Would that work?

What time specifically would work? It might be tough with the weekend coming up (we’re PST as well), but depending on the time we might be able to make it work.

I can deactivate the plugins now.

I just deactivated the plugins. Menu still doesn’t work though.

So I just switched back to the main GP theme and now the mobile menu works. So it is something in my child theme after all. Must be the header.php file because there’s nothing much in the functions.php file and very few files beyond that.

I believe it’s the site-header-menu section. Looks like it’s been added to header.php. I’m not sure what it was added for, but it’s conflicting with the mobile menu toggle javascript.

So deleting the header.php file in my child theme did the trick and didn’t change the appearance of my clients site. Thanks for helping out.

Awesome, glad I could help ??
