HTML anchors added as custom menu links cause the menu to remain open. Anchors function properly from other pages, but not from the same page.

I’ve reported this issue on your superbthemes.com/customer-support page but unfortunately you have ceased communication, stating the issue does not exist despite it replicating across multiple devices and browsers.

I’m hoping to resolve it here.

So I received the following reply from themeforest/superbthemes support:

“There’s been no development as this is not exactly a theme issue. The menu isn’t meant for use with anchor links.”

Not sure what planet this came from, but menu anchor linking is a feature that has been implemented in WordPress for some time now and necessary for one-page functionality. When I activate any other theme the anchor links work fine.

I was sent jQuery code to fix the menu not closing issue, but no instructions how to implement when using a child theme. I don’t have the skillset or time to fix lazy coding.

Waste of time and money. Requested a refund but not holding my breath. Deactivated.

Hi Perry, we sent you custom JS to help you with fixing the issue you were experiencing.
We are sadly not allowed to access the backend of your website so we cannot integrate it for you.

I’m sorry that it never worked out.
