As soon as I updated to Yoast SEO 11.6, this error message ran across the top of all of my pages: Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/wholegre/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/schema/class-schema-utils.php on line 25

I contacted my host and they said to deactivate Yoast because it was likely a bug on their end. Which I did, a week ago. I reactivated it today, hoping Yoast had fixed whatever was causing this issue, and it brought up the error message again.

I don’t see anyone else having this issue so it’s gotta be something with my site (I just redid it with the help of someone else). Any ideas?

  • I as well as several others have had and reported the same issue for days with zero help from Yoast.

Ugh, that’s frustrating. I also wrote to them but I’m not a PRO subscriber so I’m not sure how that gets taken into account.

The good news is I contacted my host again and they said they tweaked something in my PHP and now it’s gone. I had to refresh my cache.

Good luck getting your issue resolved!

11.6 took down some of my pages with 500 errors. I temporarily disabled the directory “…/wp-content/plugins/WordPress-seo” by appending an “X” to the directly name, then enabled it. I can confirm that 11.6 sucks.

We ask that you please make sure you are using Yoast v11.7 and that you filled out the Knowledge Graph part in the SEO-Search Appearance-General (it is a tab) section.

If you are still experiencing the issue per the forum guidelines, we ask that you please create separate topics for the issues you are experiencing. That way we can focus specifically on your concerns. Plus you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s.
