• Hi all,

I’m using wp-prettyPhoto together with the NextGen Gallery Plugin.

    NextGen settings:
The “Effects” option in is set to manual: rel=”prettyPhoto[%GALLERY_NAME%]”
The number of images per pages is set to 24. If a gallery contains more images than 24, there will be paging.

    wp-prettyPhoto settings:
wpp is set to automatically replace all images links.

When I place a gallery on a article or a page and select on of the pictures, wp-prettyPhoto allows me to browse through the current 24 displayed pictures. I.e. having a gallery with 50 pictures splitted into 2 pages, wpp does not allow me to navigate from picture 24 (1st paging) to picture 25 (2nd paging). Instead, I have to close the wpp-frame. Do the ajax paging and open the first picture again.

I’d appreciate to navigate to all available pictures of a irrespective of the gallery paging.

I thought I was using the rel-tag for this.

    How to achieve this?

This is rather irrelevant to WP-prettyPhoto and to some extent, NextGen. WP-prettyPhoto will replace all the image links’ REL attribute, but they have to be displayed on the page for WP-prettyPhoto to perform this operation. It can’t loop through what it can’t see. Loading the gallery in AJAX affects the content of the post, and therefore prevents WP-prettyPhoto from being notified of a post output (which WordPress does). Short answer is you basically can’t, unless you modify the code of NextGen and/or WP-prettyphoto.

    Hi plpetitclerc,

tahkn you very much for your answer.

NextGen tells me something like this
“Using the place holder %GALLERY_NAME% you can activate the navigation through your gallery (depending on the effect). “

    By the way:
For a couple of days the Resizing functionality doesnt work any longer. Though the option is enabled, no button is showed. All images will be opened in a hughe wppp box.
