weglot_get_current_full_url not working?

Maybe I understand wrong but I think weglot_get_current_full_url should show the current url and not the original one. Eg:
I have https://dev.loc/sample-page and the translated version
https://dev.loc/es/sample-pageWhen I use weglot_get_current_full_url() in https://dev.loc/es/sample-page instead of getting that url I get original one https://dev.loc/sample-page
Is the function not working or which one I should use to get https://dev.loc/es/sample-page ?
