I have searched a lot, but I can not find an answer to this.

My WordPress posts shows the date in Google search results. I want to remove this.

Does anyone know how I can do this easily?

  • The date is output by the theme, although the feed has the date also. It is an important part of the page information. Even if the date is not output as a visible field, good themes will output it in a machine readable form.
The search engine uses it to know how “fresh” the page is. It is good for users to be able to see it.

Google crawls the web and saves whatever it saves. It doesn’t necessarily look at your page each time it is in the search results. So, you can’t really control what Google shows. There are links to your feeds inside your page…
