Custom Registration Form is not working

    Hi,

    I’ve created a custom registration form which is displayed correctly. However, like in many other threads, after pressing the register button the page is simply reloading the same page and nothing happens. If I change the form with the default form everything is working fine – an account will be created and all emails will be sent.
    I always use only one shortcode (either default or custom) on registration page. I have used the same setting for password field, data privacy, username like in default registration form. For the customized reg. form i used some conditional fields, which are working actually fine.
    I also turned off all plugins and changed the theme with no result, but I think the error is in the plugin itself (because the default form is working).

    That means, the default form is working – the customized form is not working in terms of proceeding the registration process after pressing the register button

    Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks for help in advance

  • Hey @aliossi, I have been fiddling with UM forms for a while and from what I read I am not sure if you have a NEW page for the new form or if you are reusing the default registration page. I have setup a pretty long registration form, with custom fields that fetch data from DB, and the submission of the form works like a charm. It did take some fiddling though, but nothing serious.

    If you are using the default registration page I would suggest you just create a new page and put the shortcode in there for the new form.

    I found the reason why the form is not working. I have some fields with conditional logic. These fields need to be marked as “required”. However, I got the information from sales of UM, conditional fields cannot be required with UM form builder.

    I hope this time my info is not deleted again by a forum responsibles, because its quite an important information that is missing in the feature list or at least in documentation.
