Changing Admin Approval to “approve by admin” locked me out

Hello,
My admin role has the setting that new registered admins (?) are automatically approved.
I switched that to “be approved by an admin” just because it seemed like a security issue.
Now my admin account cannot access wp-admin anymore.
If I check the wp_usermeta table the account is approved, has user_level 10 and the administrator wp_capabilities.
Where can I fix this?
