    I’ve set up the Contact Form 7 form and the Gated Content. However, when I fill out the form, I receive the success message, but the Download button and content don’t appear? The email comes through showing that the form is working, but not the gated content part of it?

    Hey @esemarketing,

    Thanks for the report. We just released an update yesterday and it sounds like there’s a bug. Can you share the following:

    1. What version of WordPress are you running?
    2. What version of the plugin are you running? (Visible in the plug-ins list)
    3. A link where I can submit the form and see if there are any errors.

    Ok. We are correctly setting the cookie, which shows that the plugin is installed and working mostly as expected. My best guess is that the setting we added for disabling the form has defaulted to “off”.

    Can you take a look at the Gated Content settings and ensure the highlighted checkbox in this screenshot is toggled on?

    If it’s not, I’ll go double check that our code is defaulting that option to “on.”

    It is definitely toggled on. That was the first thing I checked when it wasn’t working.

    @esemarketing dang. Well, I did identify that we are disabling brand-new forms by default, so I’ve pushed a quick update as 1.4.1. I’ll see if I can reproduce this issue locally.

    It looks like you have JS disabled for form submissions, is that correct?

    Not sure, where would I check to see that within Contact Form 7?

    Sorry, I guess that’s not a setting for CF7. Looking at your page, it looks like you’ve got two JS errors. This _shouldn’t_ be causing the form issue, but it is preventing CF7 from sending via AJAX.

    Was the gated content working prior to the 1.4.0 update, or is it a new form that has never worked?

    I just installed the gated content plugin this morning so it never worked.

    Ah. Ok. Great —?that at least eliminates that it was the new changes. Can you send me a list of the other plugins running on your site? It’s likely we’ve got a conflict there. You can send that list privately to my email: [email protected].

    @esemarketing thanks for working with me on this. We have deployed version 1.4.2 which I believe will address your particular issue — an edge case combining “Always Require Form Submission” and non-AJAX submissions.
