I wanted to try this plugin on one of my sites.

I’ve deactivated all optimizing plugins. Installed Pegasaas Accelerator and then activated. I got the warning message that I needed to white list certain IP addresses (52.34.190.110,13.57.156.98,207.150.193.56,207.150.193.26,52.6.8.186,13.56.85.250,52.8.161.103,).

So, I added these ip address to the appropriate location in Wordfence, saved my changes.

When I go back to Pegasaas Accelerator and click the “okay try again”, I keep getting the same message that these ip addresses need to be added to Wordfence. I’ve tried clearing cache, logging out, opening site in a new browser.

Nothing helps. It’s like I’m stuck at the “warning” page.

    Wordfence version 7.3.6
    Wordpress version 5.2.2

Any idea why I can’t get beyond this message? I have verified that these IP addresses have been saved in the “Whitelisted IP Addresses that bypass all rules” area.”

    Oh, wow!

Wasn’t expecting a response that quick. Think I’m going to try again on another site of mine. Perhaps this site has an issue. Will let you know what happens

Okay, just installed on another site and noticed that the IP addresses to white list were different. Anyway, I put those in Wordfence.

Installation worked fine and I’ve completed the setup process.

I tried using these IP addesses (52.34.190.110,13.57.156.98,207.150.193.56,207.150.193.26,52.6.8.186,54.241.54.16) in my other site, but that didn’t help.

If I can provide you with any additional info, just let me know.

    Thanks

    Hi Linda,

It looks like the problem was caused by an update that we made to the list of Pegasaas API IP addresses earlier today. In order to resolve the issue, we’ve just released v2.8.4.

If you update to 2.8.4, you will find on the page where it says “Hold On Boss” and gives you a list of IP addresses, a “Refresh API IP List” link just below the text-area containing the IP Addresses. Click that link. This should fetch an updated copy of the API IPs and properly strip out any trailing white-space (which was the cause of the problem here today).

If you had already added those IP addresses to Wordfence, then it should forward you on to the next step.

Thank you so much for your patience while we sorted this one out.

    Kind regards,

    Linda,

Just saw your last message (I hadn’t refreshed my interface before replying) — yes, a new installation on another site would have picked up on the properly formatted list of IPs (which we corrected shortly after your first message).

In order to get your affected installation (which had cached the API IP list), we needed to add the new functionality to “refresh” the IP list.

In any case, do let me know if you notice this or any other bug come up.

    Kind regards,

Just wanted to give you an update.

Everything is working fine now on both sites and I’m just using the settings that were auto set. By using this plugin, I was able to remove several other ones that I had been using to improve site performance.

I tend to use google developer page speed test for my primary reference. My thoughts are “if google is happy, then so am I”. My older site scored 92/97 (mobile/desktop) and my 2nd site scored 100/100.

Scores on Pingdom Tools and GTMetrix were much better than before. The primary issue I have using those tools is expired headers settings.

Very impressed with your plugin and support!

    Thank you!
