Blank screen when editing

  • I have this theme installed but since the latest WordPress 5.2.2 update, it throws up a blank screen when I click edit. I use Elementor Pro and the site doesn’t look like the theme now but it has been working fine until this update. I can still edit with Elementor but to get that option I first have to edit normally so I’m pretty much stuck.
    I spoke with my host, GoDaddy, and they said it was a php issue and the theme probably wasn’t compatible with the new update. I’m not really tech savvy so I can’t say much apart from that.
    I had a web designer change the theme, which it’s now running, but that itself has also thrown up issues. I’d rather go back to my old theme where everything works.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using Smartline.

    Our theme does not add any scripts or styles in the backend, so when the WordPress Editor does not work it is most likely caused by some other plugin. I recommend to check these and try to disable all your plugins.
