[Plugin: Now Reading Reloaded] Can’t add new books from Amazon

v5.1.0.0, which should show up in a few minutes, attempts to address this problem.

You will need to register an Amazon Web Services account and add the two keys it gives you to the Now Reading options screen.

After upgrade it isn’t possible for me to add a book from Amazon. It seems that adding a book requires PHP 5 (due to function hash_hmac in amazon.php). Is it any way to use this for PHP 4?
Anyway, other features works well, thanks!

PHP4 has been officially unsupported ever since before I took over the plugin.

My advice would be to force your host to use PHP5 for WordPress if nothing else. If your host doesn’t offer PHP5 in the latter half of 2009, then they’re probably not worthy of your business.

I wasn’t interested in PHP version, but now I find out that also PHP 5 is supported in my hosting.
Nevertheless, your new version 5.1.1.0 fixes the problem – thanks a lot for quick response.
