Importing from CSV

    Hi there,

    I’ve imported reviews from CSV(from Rich reviews plug-in), but the client details seems not possible to import?
    I’ve used Ultimate import from Smackcoders.

    Did I miss something, or is there another way to get those imported?
    Otherwise, which table could I manually import this data?

  • Hello @onno454,

    Unfortunately you cannot import them like that – this is not an option the plugin has. We also did not test ST with that plugin so I cannot say for certain if they would work.

    Testimonials are stored in: wp_posts and client details in wp_postmeta

    There is also no bulk edit available is there?

    Otherwise I′m going to try exporting the incomplete reviews to WXR, edit them with Notepad and re-import them again.

    Thx, but I managed already.

    Maybe of help for others;
    1. Imported CSV with importer plug-in the core WP fields reviews from other plug-in.( In my case Rich reviews)
    2. Filled in the client details for one testimonial.
    3. Exported all testimonials to WXR file.
    4. Copied in this file the post meta fields from the one testimonial with search & replace Notepad++ to all testimonials and changed(also in NP++) per item the details.
    5. Reimported the file to add the missing post meta fields.
