• I think the link to WordPreciousss should be retained in the style.css (as in version 1.03), as you have used at least some code from this theme.

  • Since I cannot detect a real question in your post, I assume this is an opinion you’re trying to spread.

Do you think this is the right audience for this?

I think he missed some part of the post ??

See the tag to the right.. –>

User is commenting on a theme. ??

Ah, that’s rather confusing. In the plugin forum the name of the plugin is shown in brackets before the subject. Wouldn’t that be nice to have here?

    [Theme: easytheme] Built on WordPreciousss

    Peter

The issue here is that easytheme is using the template files and code from Precious without giving credits. Precious is GPL, so everyone is entitled to use the code in the theme for whatever they want; but not without giving credits.

Well, I think the real issue is that the OP is probably not going to read the answers here if he/she is not familiar with the forum.

The comments made here are not echoed back to the commenting on the theme (just checked).

So, for one we have users in this forum who didn’t know this was a comment on a theme (I saw esmi making the same ‘mistake’ in another post), and we have users who comment on a theme, but don’t see the remarks made here (this is a guess of course, since I do not and cannot know whether he/she is).

The first could be solved to mark such a post in a distinctive way (some might argue that the tag is distinctive enough).

    Peter

I think this has been requested already, that the theme forum operate like the plugins forum, on the mailing list if i remember correctly (or maybe it was the codex discussion – can’t recall now).
