• Hi all
I just recently upgraded to contact form 7 version 5.1.4 and when I fill up the contact form, the email received in my email client has email headers in the content.
What could be the cause of the problem? I am currently using hostgator. See below on what I received in roundcube webmail. The email headers are the first 7 lines.

    X-PHP-Originating-Script: 2711:class-phpmailer.php

I did some troubleshooting and I managed to view the email source codes.

What email settings do you have in the Mail tab panel?

    Thread Starter kennychw

    (@kennychw)

    Hi
In the mail tab panel, I am using Mail, not Mail (2)
Note that I replaced the actual domain name with “abc” for security reasons as this is a public forum.

    Thanks a lot!

    To – [email protected]
    From – [your-name] <[email protected]>
    Subject – abc Singapore “[your-subject]”

    Additional headers is empty

    Message body as follows
    From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
    Subject: [your-subject]
    Tel : [your-tel]

    Message Body:
    [your-message]

Ok. Seeing the configuration and output, I have to conclude it is highly possible that hostgator is intervening and breaking the mail header structure by inserting a blank line into where it shouldn’t be. I suggest contacting the hostgator support.
