• Now on all products in Woocommerce that are synced with Square, you cannot change the stock level on Woocommerce at all!! It’s greyed out and you need to change the stock level on Square and wait for the sync to happen. This is terrible as Woocommerce is meant to be the commanding lead side and this plugin is just to make sure that Square is up to date with the website, not the other way around. Of course, any stock changes on Square (products going through the till at the shop) should update the stock on Woocommerce, but not overwrite all the data on Woocommerce and lock it down.

I just found the new ‘Product system of record’ option but that doesn’t seem to be a lot, and the damage is already done as the second you turn on the plugin it’s syncing from Square over the top of Woocommerce.

Also it’s random which products are synced with Square, as far as I’ve checked, about 50% of mine don’t have the ‘Sync With Square’ checkbox ticked and you’d have to go through every single product individually to see whether it is or not and check it. Not great when there’s over 1000 products. This is meant to be time saving, not a complete nightmare. There needs to be a bulk ‘check/uncheck all sync checkboxes utility’.

Finally if a product isn’t found on Square it comes up with an error, rather than importing the product from Woocommerce. Really it’s a list of stuff that the plugin has failed to send from Woocommerce to Square in the past. As it is I think that version 2 should be scrapped and totally rethought. If the development team doesn’t know what version 1 was about they should perhaps ask customers.

I updated because 1.0.38 doesn’t work any more, nothing updates either way no matter what you do. I would just like a working version of version 1, at the moment it’s just totally turned off and I am having to look for a Square alternative while manually updating every sale from the shop. The other Square plugin not provided by Woocommerce is also not suitable as it completely wrecks prices because it doesn’t take tax into account.

Hi there @faracademy I see you reported this thread to the moderators. Please note that we are just the folks who enforce the rules around all of www.ads-software.com.

Reporting to moderators doesn’t get any faster support, instead it just kind of attracts attention from folks whose radar you probably don’t want to be on. ??

If you really do need a moderator, please add a reply letting us know why before you hit the report button.

Otherwise, please hang in there for the plugin’s support to reply when they can.

Oh no, sorry, I reported it as in I want the thread deleted as it serves no purpose really and I can’t edit it any more. At the time I reported it I thought I would be able to enter a report reason ??

    Thanks

Ah, but it will serve a purpose for anyone searching for the same thing. ??

Also, it doesn’t fit our criteria for deletion: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#my-problem-is-solved-will-you-delete-my-post

far academy – can you tell me if you found a fix to your problem as i am having the exact same. Its doing my absolute head in. Manage stock by square only ?? Woocommerce is my main platform and only SOME are synced.

I too have a lot of products and can’t go through every item to check a box.
It wasn’t like this a few days ago and all was working incredibly fine.
