    Hi,

There’s an issue with Photonic Gallery on my website.

I’m using Google Photos to pull images.
    I’ve completed the initial setup.

The problem is that the images don’t load (on rare occasions it does). The problem started using caching.

    Page with issues:
    https://tell-a-tale.in/food-photography
    https://tell-a-tale.in/pre-weddings

    I’m using W3Total Cache & Cloudflare
When I purge the cache, the images load fine once, but after a few hours when I check back the page, the gallery stops loading.

Can you help me with this, please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This is actually documented on quite a few threads on this forum: Google doesn’t support caching.

The URLs that Google provides have a life of around 30 minutes, so if you cache the URL, it is no longer valid after 30 minutes. The only way to get around this is to disable caching for pages with Google Photos.

The other sources don’t suffer from this problem – Flickr, SmugMug, Instagram and Zenfolio outputs can be cached without issue.

Thank you for your quick response.

Sorry for not researching this topic in advance.

Just one query in case you’re familiar with caching plugins.
Is it possible to cache parts of the page and not the gallery?
Or is there a way to generate to gallery URL every time even after caching?

If the above is not possible you may close the thread as resolved.

There isn’t a way with caching plugins, unfortunately, to allow selective caching of content in a page.

The only way this could have been attempted is if Photonic was using JavaScript to pull the information from Google instead of back-end PHP code, but that offsets performance gains on the back-end with slowdown on the front-end, as it would mean the browser does the heavy lifting of pulling data from Google and rendering it.

hi, I did not want to start another topic so I am posting here. I tested my Photonic Gallery plugin on my website with google browser on my laptop it loads fine. But, I took a trip to my local Library and loaded my website on google chrome and firefox on there computers and the plugin did not load. I was like wtf. Please help.??????

    @goddeva,
I doubt if your issue is related in any way to the original resolved thread.

Please start a separate thread (those are forum guidelines, not mine) and provide a URL – without a URL there is no way I can help you.
