    Hello
I need a restoration of the file: wp-admin.php that is at the root of my WordPress blog “https://dev.polycantus.fr”. My hosting company helps me: OK. But I am surprised because I look at the backups made by updraftplus: I find the directories at the root of the blog (such themes, contents etc…) and their contents in zip files, but I do not find the files that are at the root of the blog like wp-admin.php, wp-login.php, .htaccess etc.. Can you tell me where these files are saved ? Is there an option to be activated for that ? Regards

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

By default UpdraftPlus only backups the necessary files that will allow you to restore or migrate your site exactly as your source site. The files you mentioned are part of the WP core files which is not really necessary to include in your backup unless you have made customisation within the WP core files. See FAQ: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/need-back-wordpress-core/

If you need to backup WP core file, you will need the “More Files” add-on or UpdraftPlus Premium license.

    Regards,
    Bryle
