Hello, for last few weeks or maybe months, Ad inserter doesn’t save settings.

As I have been using this plugin for a long time, I have ads and configurations setup and all of it looks to be working fine, however I can’t add, remove or edit configured settings or ads as “Save all settings” button is not working.

When I click on the button, the page just refreshes with no any message or saving.

I am using latest version of Ad inserter and WordPress(had same issue with previous plugin version too).

I tried Chrome, Edge and several other browsers with no luck.

There were no changes in this regard for a long time.
You might have an issue with the server.

    Try the following:

Change few parameters to save them.
Click on the button Save Settings and if in about 2 seconds you don’t see the page with changed settings loaded, click again on the button.

Now when I click on save button I get following message: The link you followed has expired.

I am on VPS and my php expiration time is 300.

    What could be actual problem?

The expired link is very likely because WP security token has expired.

    Simply reload the page.

When I reload it, the page just refreshes without any message or settings saving.

When you reload the page it should not save anything.
This is a solution when you try to follow a link on a page that was created some time ago and the WP security token has expired.

If you get the message about expired link when saving settings then it seems that something is interferring with Ad Inserter.
Either server security settings or some other plugin.

Try to disable all security or optimizing plugins that may change the settinsg page.
Try also to disable mod_security if used by your hosting.

I would suggest to ask your hosting company for help.
