Square transactions failing. New installation so it’s not an expired token. I have a suspicion there are many more transactions attempted (many visits to checkout page, zero transactions).

Error: ‘Square Payment Failed (Status code INVALID_VALUE: Provided value for buyer_email_address is invalid.) Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.’ also sometimes just try another method.
email addresses are valid, cards US.

Square tells me they are not aware of attempted transactions so it’s on my site. I hope someone can help!

    Thank you in advance.

This usually means that inside the Square settings for the Business location/personal setting. Please check with Square and ensure your settings are correct, and make sure your Business Location is properly set under WooCommerce > Settings > Square.

Please let me know how it goes!

I checked all of my settings – the location on the WC Square is ok.
    After a failed transaction:

I have images but with the cc info, it says, ‘Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()

I’ve shut down my business until I can get this resolved.
I’d be happy to hire a developer if they could get it up and running – just not sure if it’s a problem on Square’s side or WC…

    Hi @amyr123,

Thank you for your patience! I just checked your site at https://bonfleur.co/checkout/ and I’m seeing errors sent to Square on the checkout page, including a message "Input height zero detected; using fallback value.":

    https://d.pr/cX2tT7

While the relationship between these errors and payments isn’t yet 100% confirmed, we’ve seen a few sites that had this kind of errors and also troubles processing payments. So far it looks that Square payment scripts are unable to recognize information entered in the checkout fields–which would explain why it says that the billing address is invalid.

As this problem doesn’t happen on my site, the next thing I’d like to check here is to see if some other plugin or theme could be causing this. If you’d rather avoid disabling stuff on your real site, which is understandable, you can create a test site where you can experiment without the risk of breaking anything.

Some hosting providers offer a one-click solution to create a staging site, so you may want to check this with yours. If they don’t, you can create a test copy using the free WP Staging plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

Once the staging site is ready, please create a temporary admin account for [email protected] on that site, and submit a support ticket at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ so that we can test this in details. Please also include the URL of this conversation as a reference:

    Thanks a lot in advance!
