• Hi, Robin. The SMS sharing button outputs the permalink to the “to” field texting app rather than to the message text area. I’m using your latest version of the plugin, 3.1.1. Thanks.

This is kind of a tricky one to track down as a lot of the code examples I’ve found out there either don’t work at all, or have the same issue. I think I’ve found one different example which resolves the issue, and have updated the SMS button class on Github. If you have a way to safely replace your copy of that file with this one, you can test it, but I’ve tested locally and it is working properly for me, so I’m planning on this for 3.1.2. In the meantime, if you can’t safely replace the file, it may be best to disable the SMS button until the update is released. Thanks for your patience and for letting me know–I appreciate it!

SOLVED! That tweak to the class did it. I updated the SMS buttons filed in includes/buttons. I tested the SMS button and it properly outputted the permalink to the message section, leaving the to field blank for me to fill out.

    You’re amazing.
