• I am building a wordpress Multisite with 5 sites and linked calendars. In testing – events under subsites work fine with links and pop-ups. The problem is when accessing events on the list view from the main central calendar. The links don’t resolve to the subsite pages and link incorrectly. I have tried setting changes and calendar setups with no luck.

    I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

    What’s the shortcode in use for the main site where the links aren’t correct? Is the problem a link that points to the *current* site, or a link that points to the *wrong, but different* site?

    The shortcode for the Main site list view is :
    [my_calendar format=”list” time=”week” category=”11″ above=”nav” below=”none”]

    The links created are nothing like the ones created for the subsite calendar:

    Sub-site Short code:
    [my_calendar format=”list” time=”week” ltype=”event_city” lvalue=”Boca Raton” category=”11″ above=”nav” below=”none”]

    The links created:

    I must have some setting incorrect, but I can figure out which it is…

    Which option is enabled for multisite event creation?

    Based on those two shortcodes, I’d expect the main site to produce links that are for the main site, and would not point to the subsite, since you’re pulling events on the main site.

    I set all the sites to the config below. I want the main calendar to show all the events from everyone, but the sub-site calendars to only show their events.

    Multisite configuration – input
    Site owners may only post to their local calendar

    Multisite configuration – output
    Sub-site calendars show events from the central calendar.

    Based on what you’ve said, I’m surprised any of your shortcodes show anything at all; I wouldn’t have expected them to. Those settings would mean that events are only ever posted to the subsite calendars, but events are only ever *shown* from the main calendar.

    So the subsite calendars should have events that don’t get shown, and the main calendar would have no events to show.

    Did your calendars already have events before you configured this, or are the posting rules not working according to expectation?

    Do events get posted at the main site, separately?

    Well, It almost all works as planned with the exception of list view on the main site. The shortcodes are based on the ones given on your site.

    So, what do I need to properly create calendars:

    • Main site that pulls events from all subsites in list view and grid
    • Sub-sites that display only their events in list and grid

    — Should the multi-site settings be changed?
