LDD Search Function

  • Hey,

    Overall we are digging the directory but are having an issue with the search feature.

    In my testing, the search function doesn’t appear to be searching the listings, but rather our whole site. We use the BuddyBoss theme and Martins initial take is that there may be a conflict with a custom search plugin or perhaps extended search functionality from our theme. We don’t use or require a search feature on the rest of our site.

    Here’s hoping you can help me solve this issue!

  • our plugin is supposed to search only through listing directory and not the whole site, your theme or custom functions may be overriding plugin search queries.

    Update:

    1) We have hidden the WordPress Site icon with CSS (not sure if that is important)
    2) We are now using the Disable Search Plugin but this doesn’t seem to stop the LDD search from searching the whole site
    3) When we disable the Buddypress Global Search plugin, the LDD search turns up no results – showing that it was only searching the BuddyPress member database before and taking you to the member’s profile page (redirect to 404 error page)

    Please advise.
