At the moment the error message users get for Invalid email such as [email protected]n is “An error occurred, please try again or try an alternate form of payment.”.

This does not tell the user it’s a problem with their email and it makes it seem like it’s a problem with their credit card. How can i change this message to simply say “email invalid” or something.

  • I have this same issue with Flatsome theme. Is there a theme that works processing payments with Square? I’m going to make some changes to the web site and at this point can’t process payments at all.

Is anyone processing Square payments smoothly with WC?

    Thank you

    Hi @ajiaim,

Thank you for letting us know about this problem. I see what you mean. When Detailed Decline Messages are enabled in Square gateway settings, customers should see the detailed reason why their payment was rejected. This is currently working fine when the customer enters an incorrect CVV code or zip code, but not when the email address is incorrect.

I’ve reported this to our developers and am waiting for their feedback now. We don’t have an estimate time for this yet, but it’s certainly on our todo list.

    Cheers!
