Couldn’t get slideshow to appear on home page. Couldn’t get buttons or overlay text to update based on custom fields. No support.

    Abandoned it. Moved on.

Got a link for the theme ? wich extensions are activated ?

This is not showing up for me either. I have it activated but nothing shows on my home page ??

I really want something like this on my page too….

The link for my theme is
    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/indore

    Thank you for your help!

I’ll try to take time to have a look on that and fix it in the next release

The new release will fix that : just use the shortcode way of adding the slideshow : I just tried with the Indore theme, and shortcode way it is working fine !

Don’t hesitate to send me your blog url so that I can make a screenshot.

Hi Jeff – really like the plugin and have been trying to make it work on my site. Similar to the above, I can activate and configure it no problem but when I insert the short code nothing shows up on my mainpage. I am using the Equilibrium theme and would like to replace the current “feature” section. https://madebyon.com/equilibrium-wordpress-theme/

Thanks for any help you can provide.

@anysob: I’ll have look on that soon, but, by your side, could you make some tests and answer to some questions ? then let me know ?

    – can you de-activate all plugins but this one to see if it is working alone ? and tell me ?
    – if the plugin is working fine alone, can you activate all plugins, one by one, and tell me wich one is messing up ?
    – can you tell me if you identify any javascript errors ?
    – can you look at the html source-code of your page, identify the javascripts inclusions, and tell me if prototype.js is the very first one to be loaded ? or if there are some jQuery or Mootootls js files are loaded before ?

You can also send me the url of you website my mp or email.

That will be helpful to troubleshoot

Hi Jeff – thanks for the response. In answer to your questions:

    1. I deactivated all my plugins and FrontpageSlideshow still does not appear (i.e. it is the only plugin running). As a side note in the configuration panel it can pull up the titles of my featured posts fine, but does not seem to be able to preview the images. Not sure if that is a clue. Also, when I try to insert the shortcode all that is displayed on the page is [FrontpageSlideshow]. Another clue?

    2. No javascript errors
    3. prototype.js is the first inclusion

Thanks Jeff. I’m a bit new to this so any help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers.

@anysob : I just did some tests with your theme and the results are that the plugin works fine onto the sidebar and when a post is displayed as a single page using the shortcodes but, it does not work at all on others ways.

Your theme seems to not be fully compatible with this plugin. I try to fid a way to use the plugin with this theme.

i have same problem, thme my website is personalize.
i use shortcode in my thmem .it is not apear in my home page.

    I use this theme:

    https://www.blogohblog.com/wordpress-theme-black-and-white/

When I activate the plugin. All the text on the homepage disapears, I can only see titles and empty blog spaces. The widget is also not showing.

When I deactivate the widget the text is back.

Is this theme not compatible with this plugin?

https://www.abadan-news.com is my website as same problem with Frontpage Slideshow

@m0jtaba : When I have a look at the source code of your website, I can see that the theme you are using is including the jQuery framework badly that may be the source of the problem…

As the theme you are using seems to be made by yourself, I cant test more and only try to guess what is messing up.

A plugin seems to include jQuery properly, so I advise you to do these things :
    1) suppress the jQuery inclusion that is hard-coded into yoyt header.php theme file and put the wp_head() function call before other javascript inclusions
    2) use the WordPress API to include jQuery and put other javascript inclusions after the wp_head() function call. Have a look at this page : https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script

If you could zip yout theme and tell me where I can download it in order to make some more tests, I could be able to help you more.

Let me know if my advises has been useful.

Sorry I can not send Theme Source Code becuse I payment 110$ for Design. i think Your plugin is dameg becuse All pepole have problem with your plugin.

@m0jtaba : well, you can think what you want, but if you read all messages, people that got trouble are using the plugin in a bad way or had a plugin or a theme that messed up… actually the plugin has been downloaded more than 3000 timmes, there is more than 1000 websites who use it with absolutely no trouble and less than 10 people that having trouble with it, for the reasons I said…

Read and do what I advidsed and you will be able to troubleshoot, but you are free to stay like you are…

And, if you let me say it, I must say that is not fair play to have absolutely not read advises that I took time to wrote, specially for you (and I dont read persian !)… tss
