ERROR: Please enter your password, on fresh install

  • No plugins setup. Well, wordfence is installed, but disabled.

    TwentyNinteen theme.

    WP version 5.2.3

    Trying to add a new user, and when I hit submit I get “ERROR: Please enter a password”

    I’ve never run into this before.

    I should add that I have tried with, and without clicking on “show password” to see the randomized password.

    Also, there is nothing in the php error log, or debug.log if I turn on debugging.
