Custom pages/templates

I would like to use Comicpress within my site, but not the entire site…only a page or two. I know it is possible to add custom templates to individual pages through dashboard. I am looking to set up an entirely different structure to make my site different…versatile… Can anyone help? Perhaps point me in the right direction.
