Password reset defaults to home page

Hi,
I am testing out the site and have uploaded some users. (We have 1000+ users and we want to upload them to the site rather than set themselves up again because we already have all their details – the upload program works perfectly)

I then want them to receive an email with a link to the password reset page. (This is fine as well).

However, what I find is that when you click on the link from the activation/welcome email it redirects to the home page. I am putting this down to the fact that the user hasn’t logged in and therefore UM redirects any non-logged in users to the home page in this circumstance. To try to get round this, I set up the password reset page as an excluded URL, but this doesn’t work.

Does anyone know a way round this.
