    Hi,
we created a product with variants. After we changed in simple but seems variations still persist because if we use plugin or export products, they still see this variations that we don’t have more.
We activate and deactivate plugin and we use clear orphan variation with store tool kit plugin but nothing….Could you please help us?

    Thanks

  • Did you try:
Dashboard > WooCommerce > Status > Tools tab > “Delete orphan variations” button.

    Hi @emporio3

When you switch from a variable product to a simple product, those variations will still appear in the custom meta of that product when you export the data. Changing the product type does not remove those custom meta entries from the database.

If you’re using that exported file (CSV, I assume) to import the products, as long as that specific product is set as a Simple Product in the CSV, those variations will not be imported.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
