    Hello!

I am trying to implement a “I consent to the storage of my data according to the Privacy Policy”-checkbox on the checkout page in order to be GDPR compliant. How do I do this?

I should note that we are using a plugin called Ultimate GDPR. It is integrated with a lot of plugins so you can easily add this GDPR checkbox. For example I have added this checkbox on our contact form and on product reviews. However the GDPR plugin is not integrated with Svea Checkout. They have do Woocommerce but when I click this option, no checkbox appears. According to Woocommerce this is because I have to get the checkbox in via your plugin.

Under services you can see which plugins the GDPR plugin is integrated with:

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Isabella!

As far as I know, there is already a solution for this implemented in the footer of the checkout.
There you can see links to Sveas conditions as well as a link to the webshops own. And by clicking confirm, you agree to the terms and conditions provided in the links.
All information in this part of the checkout is controlled by Svea through an iframe s? please contact your support at Svea to double check and for help setting up your sites conditions link.

    Best regards

    Hello!

    Thanks for your reply.

You are right that there is some information in the checkout footer, however there is no link or checkbox/button for our company’s privacy policy.

This is what it says in our checkout:
“By filling out this information in the checkout I approve SVEA Ekonomi’s general conditions (last updated 2018-05-01) and the store’s “purchase conditions” (info about delivery, shipping, force majeure etc.).
Underneath this there is a link to “data protection policy” which is Svea Ekonomi’s privacy policy, not ours.

Above this you fill our your adress and postal code and can then click “continue”.
So there is not really a button like “I accept this”.

    Hello again!

So I talked to Svea and they checked with their developers and told me that it is not possible to add a checkbox in the checkout. It isn’t something they’re planning to do in the future either. However I was thinking the best thing I could instead is just add a link to our privacy policy in the checkout message.

So I want to change the message to this:
“By filling out this information in the checkout I accept Svea Economy’s general terms and conditions (last updated 2018-05-01), the store’s purchase conditions AND the store’s privacy policy*** (this being a link)*”

I went to edit the page, both in the WordPress editor and in our theme UX builder but the only thing I can see is a shortmessage “[svea_checkout]”. So I don’t really know how to go about to edit the text and add a link. Could you perhaps help me with this?

    Best regards,
    Isabella

    Hi again Isabella,

Do you mean that you would like to change the text message next to the checkbox that is already implemented in the footer, next to Svea’s information and link?

The information shown here is part of an iframe that is controlled by Svea, so if you would like to make changes here, you have to contact Svea directly and see what the possibilities are.

    Best regards

    Yes exactly.

OK yes, I wrote the question to them too and they said it was not possible.
I have done all I can now hehe, just have to leave the checkout page as it is.

Thanks again for your help ??
