Hi guys!
I’ve built a few standard websites already but I’m really new in WooCommerce.
My key question is: Is WooCommerce really that hard to customize?
I have installed the plugin and basically customised it as far as I was able to.

I was able to achieve the following tasks:
– custom buttons for all shop area
– custom single product page

But I’m not able to achieve:
– custom product archive page
– custom category page
– custom shop page (was ok on OceanWP but a disaster on Astra)

I’m using Elementor Pro and Astra theme I was on OceanWP previously, but I had too many design issues with this theme.

I’ve created Product Archive Template using Elementor with display condition “All Archives” where I added my header and footer with Archive Products on the middle of the page, I can’t add any styles to the design as everything is ignored and displayed as theme default I guess, the same with product category page.

The “Product Archives”, “Shop Page” and “Category Page” are the most important for me now.
Could you guys advise how to create ones, please?
I had Shop Page previously created on OceanWP and was great. On Astra, there is always additional archives shown underneath of my footer, generated by the theme I guess.
Also, all styling is working fine on this the Shop page but this is thanks to the functionality of setting own shop page at WooCommerce/Settings/Products/Shop Page I think.

THE FINAL QUESTION
Is there any additional plugins from WooCoomerce no matter paid or free allowing you guys to build the shop you want? I don’t want my customers to see a nice shop and then jumping to my category pages see complete design disaster.
Does WooCommerce need a tone of custom CSS? ( I have already added a lot) or just need some plugin addons? Can you advise on good ones if they really exist?
I’m so curious how you guys are handling WooCoomerce as a shop in WordPress.
I really like the fact that this is open-source software and is still evolving thanks to so many knowledgable and kind people.

You can use the plugin WP Bakery Page Builder to achieve this. It’s great to build nice pages and includes woocommerce fields.

A great deal depends on the level of customisations you’re looking for and which tools you’re using. To change the layout, you’ll likely want to look into using template overrides (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/template-structure/); For colour/design changes, theme options or custom CSS are typically the way to go.

Some folks also make use of WooCommerce shortcodes (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/) on custom pages and the simply add 301 redirects from the shop/archive pages to these custom created ones ??
