Google indexing table of contents links

    Hi there,

    We’ve added this plugin to our site, but google is following the links from the table of contents and I can see them being indexed in Google search console.

    Is there a way to prevent this within the plugin?

    hmmm… maybe I do not understand the issue… but, Google indexes all links in your site which would include the TOC links. Generally this is desired and even more so when adding a TOC to a page/post. As far as I know there is no way to prevent specific links from not being indexed, only entire pages by using the noindex meta tag.
