    Hi,
This is a great plugin, but I had my first problem with it. I fixed it, and maybe this will help some folks.

I select the correct image and all required fields. It failed with the CF7 message that it is spam. (“submission was referred to as spam”).

For more, I grabbed a couple console error messages:
Uncaught ReferenceError: grecaptcha is not defined
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 () [that’s calling a Google server]

Here’s what seemed to fix it (the Google bit was the clue). I had used the “Recaptcha v2 plugin” before, so there was a setting in CF7 for Integration. I deleted the keys, and that seemed to allow everything to work. Very weird. ??

Oddly, on my other site with the same hosting and very similar setup, it works just great. Maybe that will stop working, too, who knows? ??

    Cheers, Dave

  • Hi!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
It sounds like this is more of a Contact Form 7 bug rather then an issue with the Image CAPTCHA plugin. I will look into the possibility of adding some kind of check for this issue in the plugin, however it would be a low priority update as the bug has to do with Contact Form 7.

    Kyle,
I thought that might be the case. Now that CF7 has gone all Recaptcha 3 (yuck!!!) and there are now so many possible additives to CF7, I suppose just about anything could happen. ??

I appreciate your response and for giving it some thought!

    Cheers, Dave
