Simple Links not recognizing some categories

I have categories defined for Agenda and Minutes, both show up in the category list and can be selected when creating a new Simple Link, but only the Minutes category is apparently registered.
I have 27 agenda in the list of Simple Links, all of them have Agenda category selected, but the Categories page shows 0 (zero) items for that category.
I have 29 Minutes links in the list and the Categories page shows 29 items.
I tried creating a new category and assigning it to all the Agenda items, that category also shows 0 items after everything is updated and refreshed.
