User rating of books

    Hello Donna,

    I use your plugin on a site for high school history teachers, and I think it is very useful.

    I have an idea for an improvement: It would be nice if members of my site could rate the book as well, like on amazon.

    So there would be one static star rating from the reviewer and then a dynamic star rating with an average of user’s reviews (preferably logged-in members only).

    What do you think? Is this possible or maybe too time-consuming?

  • Hi Lars,

    The Book Review plugin was originally built with book bloggers in mind, and to empower them by making it easier to rate and review books. I never intended to open that up to community ratings/reviews, as it would create a more complicated plugin. I intend to stick to that original vision, and keep the plugin hyper-focused on the needs of book bloggers.
