Blank line before SELECT options

    Title says it all really. I am adding a select field at the woocommerce checkout, but want it to be required with no option selected by default (currently it defaults to first option). How can I arrange for a blank line as the first option like you normally do with this type of field?

  • Hi,

    Unfortunately it’s not currently possible to have no default value for select type fields but we have added it to our todo list. You could add an additional value “No option” or something like that as the first value.

    Yeah, problem is people are leaving the default, even if it is “Please Select”. What we really need is no option selected, but because the field is required, they MUST drop down and select. People are SO lazy! Look forward to seeing the feature available in future, thank you.
