smart tag {field_id} not working

  • I have a dropdown (field id of 9) and for now a single-line text box(field id of 7). I am trying to populate field 7 with the selection of field 9 and some other text. Field 9 is a “dynamic choices” option pulling from a taxonomy (custom). Am I misunderstanding the documentation from How to Use Smart Tags in WPForms ?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi @msnow28,

    Currently we don’t have the option to pass field data from one field to another. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

    The field Smart Tags can be used in the Notification settings to add field data to the email fields, for example, you can add the user’s email address to the Send To Email Address field by using the field Smart Tag for the email field.
