forms not appearing on pages after transfer

    Changed host providers, which involved the moving of our database.

    For any page we have Ultimate shortcodes, the page content is fine but the form does not display. HOWEVER, when viewing the page source, we are seeing the programming for the related shortcode. And the displayed page maintains sufficient space where we are expecting to see the form but are not.

    Deactivating all but the Ultimate plugins, did not change anything.
    Changed theme from ColorMag (child) to ColorMag, did not change anything.
    Changed theme from ColorMag to TwentySixteen, did not change anything.

    We did have a couple of tables drop during our migration, not seeing any tables that might be part of Ulimate Member (wp_um_<name>) but then again not sure if we should be seeing any such tables. We are seeing a table ‘wp_user_registration_sessions’ with no records and are assuming this is part of UM?

    Tried viewing on an Opera browser as well, nothing display where the form was expected.

  • I see a few problems. #1 and #3 could be causing the problem.

    #1. You are caching your Login page with the WP Super Cache plugin. Login pages or any/all pages with Forms on them should never be cached. Create an exclude rule in WP Super Cache to exclude your Login page from being cached. Also clear all WP Super Cache cache.

    #2. Use Google Chrome Developer Tools and view the errors occurring on your Login page. You have some Mixed Content errors and other errors occurring.

    #3. View the Source Code of your Login page. Near the bottom of the page <!-- end ssl cert badge is missing --> which is commenting out all of the code after it.

    THANKS AITpro – you probably already know we use BPS as well, flawless for the past 7 years or more! Will see how these tweaks work out and get back to here with the results…

    I believe the missing --> did the trick, a LOT of things re-appeared by that one correction.

    Before posting here we had cleared the cache before disabling all the plugins but to no avail. Have added the pages that have the Ultimate Members shortcodes to the do not cache list and will have to remember to do that in the future as well.

    Will take a look at the Mixed Content errors as well.
