I have one Parent Project Type and several Child Project Types. Now when I go to this second level, for instance https://gudakoster.nl/project-type/photo/ and open a Project the next and previous buttons in the bottom link to the next/previous Project of the Parent Project Type. I want it to go to the next/previous project within the current Child Project Type. How can I change this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Howdy –

Thanks for getting in touch. This isn’t exactly a theme request. This is how WordPress itself works. Those buttons work the same for posts, and categories too. They don’t work with in sub subjects as you have requested.

It might be possible to change it, but that would require modifications to WP itself, as this behavior is not determined by the theme.

There might be a plugin that can do this, but whether it will work with custom content types like portfolio projects…I’m not sure.

If you’re using Jetpack portfolios it might be possible with modifications to Jetpack. You’d need to hire someone to do that type of customization. Neither we nor Jetpack support can help with that level of customization.

Okay, I’ll look further, if I find a solution I’ll post it here.
    Thanks, Tom

The problem is that all Projects are in two Types, the parent type and a child type.
The solution I choose is: change the Parent Type into a Tag and in the menu link to this Tag for the first level.
